Three opportunities also remain available in McGarvey Custom Homes’ La Caille villa neighborhood, including a completed furnished model and two new models that are currently in design. Both Escala and La Caille showcase Quail West’s legendary golf course and water views.

Priced at $1,175,000 with furnishings, McGarvey’s completed Cadera model in La Caille presents an interior by Arlynn McDaniel of Freestyle Interiors. The 2,702 square feet floor plan includes a spacious great room, gourmet island kitchen, and a dining area, three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, a study, and a three car garage. A unique trellis detail on the front of the home provides a burst of color. Construction of a second furnished Cadera model and a model featuring McGarvey’s Gallina villa floor plan is expected to begin this fall.
McDaniel’s modern coastal design in the Cadera model offers an aura of casual comfort. The color palette incorporates classic contrasts of navy blue and white, and black and gray. The flooring material throughout the main living areas is muted gray porcelain tile. A hallway from the foyer to the great room features ceiling details while the flooring showcases a faux wood porcelain tile detail. White tongue-in-groove woodwork adds styling along the hallway walls that widen as they approach the great room to accommodate floor-to-ceiling niches.
On the great room’s feature wall, a niche accommodates an entertainment console. The niche’s back wall is enhanced by navy blue grass cloth providing a backdrop for the free-standing console in reclaimed washed-gray oak and a 70-inch television. A square-edged sofa in beige linen is complemented by four chairs with wicker. A square cocktail table showcases a reclaimed wood top and white lacquered legs. The dining room features a glamorous black wood table with an X-shaped base while the chairs provide contrast in white leather with chrome X-shaped legs. The contrasts continue in the kitchen where the island features black shaker style cabinetry against perimeter cabinetry finished in white. Stylish countertops showcase a quartz material featuring the gray striations of Carrera marble.
Home ownership at Quail West offers exceptional value. A substantial two phase renovation of the community’s clubhouse and two championship golf courses is underway and progressing as planned. Budgeted at a cost of approximately $30 million, the member approved and financed initiative reflects the community’s continued mission to be the premier private residential country club in Southwest Florida. To avoid the sprawling and disjointed building configuration prevalent at other clubs, the renovation design is focused on providing an integrated club experience in a single location. The renovation of the 70,000 square foot clubhouse complex will feature a new 12,000 square foot dedicated fitness and wellness building; enlarged and redesigned pre-function spaces to enhance the members’ experience during events; a major enhancement to the casual dining facilities and outdoor dining areas; an Internet Café with grab and go service; and a complete renovation of the kitchens to improve food preparation and service in all dining venues in the Club.
The redesigned lobby is expected to be completed by the end of September. Renovation of the upstairs fine dining and banquet kitchen is also underway and expected to be completed by the end of October. Renovations to Quail West’s two golf courses designed by golf course architect Arthur Hills will address enhancements to the irrigation systems, green complexes, adjacent grass areas, and fairways. Improvements to the Preserve course are underway. The course is expected to reopen in December. Improvements to the Lakes course will begin in spring, 2017 with completion anticipated by December 2017. The two-story dedicated fitness and wellness center building is being built by Gates Construction and expected to be completed in January, 2017.
The design of the improved clubhouse spaces has been a cooperative effort of Quail West’s members, Humphrey Rosal Architects, and Clive Daniel Home. Their design concept is intended to enhance the club’s current high-end finishes while incorporating new design elements consistent with the new building additions. The upper floor of the clubhouse will remain more formal with a transitional feel. Phase II renovations are scheduled to commence in summer, 2017 and will transform the lower floor of the clubhouse. The redesigned lower floor will provide more casual spaces that tie in the traditional elements of the club with a more relaxed casual atmosphere presented by the lower floor’s corridor that will integrate golf, fitness, tennis, the salon and spa, and casual dining.
