Unique New Golf Cottages Released at Lely Resort

4/1/2009

Cordoba Development, LLC in conjunction with The Drax Group have joined forces in the development of a unique new neighborhood at Lely Resort.

Located in the heart of Lely Resort, Cordoba is a private enclave of 50 Mission-inspired maintenance-free Golf Cottages in the midst of Lely Resort's three championship golf courses.

"The Cottages at Cordoba's location within Lely Resort is exceptional," said Mark DiSabato, Managing Partner of Cordoba Development, LLC. "The elegant Classics golf clubhouse is located directly across the street, while the Flamingo Island golf clubhouse is only a few hundred yards to the south and the award-winning Players Club & Spa is a few hundred yards to the east. Naples most comprehensive lifestyle amenities are literally a moment's stroll from residents front doors."

Cordoba offers a charming array of single-story and two-story cottages inspired by the world famous courtyards of Cordoba, Spain. There are two basic floorplans with a total of six interior variations and nine exterior elevations. Many of the homesites feature a choice of golf, water and pristine nature preserve views.

"The Cordoba cottages are designed for homeowners with a very active lifestyle and a keen appreciation for fiscal and environmental responsibility," said DiSabato. "The homes have an openness and livability beyond their square footage and they are in the process of being approved for the Florida Power & Light Build Smart Program and also to be designated Florida Green for maximum utilities efficiency."

According to John Zagar, Vice President of Sales at Lely Resort, Cordoba adds a unique residential niche to the already amazing variety of homes found at Lely Resort.

"Cordoba provides the rich detailing and interior appointments usually reserved for million dollar-plus homes," said Zagar. "From the raised coffered ceilings with two-step crown molding to granite countertops, oversized diagonal or staggered tile, stainless steel Kitchen Aid appliances and seven and one-quarter inch baseboard, the standard features are astounding in homes starting from just $410,000."

One of the most attractive features of the Cordoba homes is the outdoor living room concept located off the master suite and the great room. Within the screened and partially covered lanai area, homebuyers have the chance to customize an outdoor living area with an array of options including pools, spas, water walls, fountains, fireplaces and fire pits. In addition, each home provides a private walled courtyard entry for additional outdoor space in the home.

"Cordoba's lifestyle is unsurpassed," said DiSabato. "Imagine walking to the first tee for a round of golf in the morning, back for a swim and poolside cocktails in your private outdoor living room in the afternoon and then taking another short stroll to the Players Club & Spa for an evening of fine dining. You have days of resort living without ever picking up the keys to your car."

The Cordoba theme has been carefully thought out and carried through every detail of the neighborhood whether it is the beautiful gated entry boulevard, the two quaint parks or the richly detailed exterior architecture. In the center of Cordoba is a park with a three-tiered, carved stone fountain, Italian cypress and fruit trees and a comfortable sitting area. Further down the boulevard is a lakeside Passive Park with a walking path through rich landscaping leading to a quiet waterfront sitting area. In addition, sidewalks and two locked gates in the neighborhood allow residents easy access to all of Lely Resort's spectacular amenities.

"Whether homebuyers are looking for a year round, seasonal home or rental investment property, Cordoba gives them peace of mind in a ‘lock and leave' home," said DiSabato. "Cordoba will be maintained by a professional HOA management company, giving homeowners a worry-free, maintenance free lifestyle."

The single-story, great room-style San Sebastian model offers 1,544 square feet under air in four designs with the option of two or three bedrooms, two or two and one-half baths and the versatility of a formal living/dining room or a private study.

Diane M. Powell, Interiors and Mylene Robert, AI Design furnished the new San Sebastian Model in Cordoba in a transitional style.  Influenced by the open floor plan, sun-filled spaces and views to the spa from the dining area, the home creates a soothing environment amid a backdrop of soft taupes, blues and creams which balance the rich, dark wood furnishings. Warmer hues were introduced in the Study, hardwood floors and light tan walls accentuate the fine details of the desk and surrounding bookcase units. The Great Room features a built-in entertainment wall, accommodating a big screen television and lighted shelving for accessories. Silver accents heighten the glamour and sophistication throughout the design, while luxurious linens in the master and guest bedroom suites appeal to one's sense of style, beauty and comfort.

The two-story Barcelona model offers 2,219 square feet of living area under air with up to four bedrooms and three and one-half baths. Downstairs is a great room, a master suite and a guest suite or den. The upstairs may be configured as twin bedroom suites or, in a unique arrangement, may serve as a second full master suite with twin walk-in closets. One innovative feature of the Barcelona is that the upstairs master suite can be locked off from the main living area of the home so that the downstairs may serve as a potential rental home with the owners able to lock the upstairs area for privacy.

Valentine and Stone Interiors used Caribbean island blues with accents of terracotta's and soft greens in the color palette for The Barcelona. The mixes of textures--rattans, carved woods, iron and raffia pieces, as well as the fabrics, invite you to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The wood ceilings in the living/dining area draw your eyes upward to dramatize the area as well as add warmth and intimacy. By using the same wood ceiling on the lanai, it expands the space joining the outside natural setting with the indoors.

Cordoba residents have access to The Players Club & Spa at Lely Resort, which gives residents a complete lifestyle with a separate non-golf clubhouse providing a more casual, tropical atmosphere.

Offering over 20,000 square feet under air, The Players Club & Spa features a 3,500 square foot fitness center, a 2,500 square foot social room, a 1,200 square foot aerobics room, an arts and crafts room, a card room, a media room, billiards room and a theater room.

Outside, in a tropical setting, is a resort-style pool and spa with a cabana area. There are also private cabanas and a beach area around the pool. Adjacent to the pool and beach area is a lap/fitness pool set up for water aerobics. A children's tot lot and a private yoga garden round out the amenities at the pool. The Players Club also features a Tennis Pro Shop, which services the seven Har-Tru courts of the tennis complex.

Lely Resort residents also have access to Collier County's premier golfing amenities. With three championship golf courses and two spectacular golf clubhouses, Lely Resort offers 54 holes of truly fabulous golf, including The Classics course by Gary Player, the Flamingo Island course by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and The Mustang course by Lee Trevino.
