The Lake Club, Lakewood Ranch’s most prestigious community, will soon begin renovations on its Grande Clubhouse with creative architecture by Fawley Bryant, an award-winning Sarasota architectural firm, and a design vision created by Winter Park’s Soco Interiors. Central to the enclave’s six exclusive neighborhoods, the clubhouse’s extensive remodel will add even more high-end amenities and thoughtfully planned spaces to further enhance residents’ lifestyles. The clubhouse, now closed, will reopen for residents in the summer of 2018, with the additional outdoor enhancements of Phase II, including the addition of The Lakeside Café, expected to be complete in 2019.
Plans for the new 20,000-square-foot luxury clubhouse include a full-time concierge desk, yoga room with nearby sauna and steam room, as well as a multipurpose massage and treatment room and expanded, state-of-the-art fitness center. The billiards and card room will be refreshed with a modern, comfortable atmosphere, offering plenty of opportunities for Mah Jongg, Canasta, Bridge and other card games.
“We are excited to share the plans for renovating the Grande Clubhouse. These enhancements, to be made by Lake Club Investors and Stock Development, are consistent with the superior amenities planned for this village and will continue to set The Lake Club apart from other local offerings,” commented Brian Stock, CEO of Stock Development.
The exquisite interior finishes, envisioned by innovative design firm Soco Interiors, will be coastal and contemporary featuring natural stone and wood elements with aqua, sunflower and other earthly accents that mirror the Floridian landscape. Once complete, the reimagined clubhouse will be the ideal gathering place for members to enjoy exclusive member events, social gatherings, and private parties hosted by residents who can utilize the facility for birthdays, weddings and other memorable moments.
Some of the greatest undertakings in the renovation are centered around culinary experiences. Residents will be able to dine alfresco on the patio, or gather in the dining room to partake in delectable cuisine in a breathtaking setting. The ballroom and kitchen will be updated to full service, adding nine chandeliers to the banquet room to cast a dazzling glow. A new indoor/outdoor bar area will allow residents to enjoy service inside the clubhouse as well as on a spacious balcony seating area. Inside, the new indoor lounge and bar area will be added to further promote social interaction at the Clubhouse. In early 2019, The Lake Club will debut its outdoor dining area, The Lakeside Café, which will serve light fare and refreshing cocktails by the pool area.
Residents interested in sporting activities will soon enjoy the addition of more tennis courts, plus pickle and bocce ball. Other exterior additions will include two fire pits, one for families to enjoy and another exclusively for adult use, an outdoor elevator, and additional outdoor seating where residents can take in the beauty of Lake Club living. Members will be able to experience this beautiful new space by late Summer 2018.
